Summer afternoon - Summer afternoon... the two most beautiful words in the English language. - - - Henry James

I looked at the calendar today and it told me that it’s still spring. The calendar is wrong, though. Summer is definitely here.

How do I know?

I picked this up on Craig’s List for $15:

As expected, no one has used it yet, but for $15, it’s worth it as outside toy storage.

A pair of socks is finished!

Plum socks

What: Plum socks
Yarn: KnitPicks Parade in Plum
Needles: 2
Pattern: Basic cuff down in stockinette stitch. 58 stitches, with heel on 29.
Lesson Learned: I lengthened the heel by adding more knit rows between decreases. Also, don’t decrease so much, or the heel gets pointy!
Destination: My feet!!

Can you stand even more canine cuteness?
