Moving on out.

It's moving day!

I've packed up and moved here.

(If the link doesn't work the new site is: http://runswithneedles.wordpress.com and the new site feed is: http://runswithneedles.wordpress.com/feed/ )

The coffee is hot, the couch is comfy and there's plenty of yarn. I hope to see you there!

Falling in love again.

For a few months, I set blankets aside to knit socks. I loved socks. Now, I have once again fallen in love with knitting blankets.

The new blanket has been named Minty Fresh and I've started the cables:

Here's a closer look:

So far, this pattern is a joy. It's easy enough to do while watching TV/surfing the web, yet complicated enough that I'm not bored at all.

Driving home from work tonight I had to pull over and snap a picture of the sunset:

Sunset

Our sky has been hazy the past couple of days due to wildfires in nearby states. The hazy skies during the day are kind of a drag, but the spectacular sunsets definitely make up for it!

Long weekend

I can't believe the long weekend is over already. It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend, full of knitting.

Log Cabin #2 is coming along:

I also started a new blanket:

Short and to the point.

The Saturday Sky picture for this week is pretty dreary:

Today's weather was perfect for the first pot roast of the season:

I plan to spend my evening knitting and watching old movies I have saved on Tivo. I feel a food coma coming on, so I hope I can stay awake.
